Easy Tinumis (Nueva Ecija Dinuguan) Recipe

Tinumis Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb pork, cut into small cubes
  • 10 oz pork blood
  • 1 medium plum tomato, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 pcs long green pepper (siling haba)
  • 1 pack (20 g) Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc mix
  • 1 Knorr pork cube
  • 1 & ½ cups water
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a pan, pour the cooking oil and heat.
  2. Sauté the garlic until it turns medium brown.
  3. Add and sauté the onion.
  4. Add the tomato and cook until both onion and tomato gets soft.
  5. Stir- in the pork and then cook until the pork gets light brown.
  6. Continue to cook in low to medium heat while constantly stirring for 5 to 7 minutes.
  7. Add the Sinigang sa Sampaloc mix and stir.
  8. Pour the pork blood in the pan then stir and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. Pour the water and stir.
  10. Continue to cook for 5 minutes.
  11. Add the Knorr pork cube, stir, then cover the pot.
  12. Cook in low heat for 15 to 25 minutes (add more water if needed).
  13. Sprinkle some salt and ground black pepper and add the long green peppers.
  14. Stir and cook for 3 more minutes.
  15. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
