Nothing compares to Buko Shake when refreshing from a hot humid day in the Philippines! Do you agree? Making your own can be quite tricky. Find out how to make the perfect buko shake with this easy recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups buko meat (add some more for optional toppings)
  • 1 cup buko juice
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Ice

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. First make your own simple syrup by combining the sugar and water in a small pot.
  2. Apply medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer (stir regularly until sugar is dissolved and syrup is clear and no longer cloudy).
  3. Remove your DIY simple syrup from heat and allow to cool completely.
  4. Combine the buko meat, buko juice, evaporated milk, DIY simple syrup, and ice in a blender.
  5. Blend until smooth.
  6. Transfer into tall glasses, top with shredded buko (optional), and serve cold. Enjoy!
