Honey Bagoong Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup ginisang bagoong alamang (sauteed shrimp paste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

HOW TO COOK:

  1. First, make sure to rinse chicken wings in cold water then drain well.
  2. Combine bagoong and honey in a large bowl until blended.
  3. Add- in the chicken and massage with mixture.
  4. Marinate for at least 4 hours for best flavor.
  5. Remove the chicken wings from marinade and season with salt and pepper to taste (reserve the marinade).
  6. In a small sauce pan over medium heat, heat the honey- bagoong marinade for about 5 minutes or until thick and syrupy.
  7. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray it with a non-stick cooking spray.
  8. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on prepared baking sheet and bake in a 385 F or 200 C oven for about 30 to 35 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and skin is caramelized.
  9. Halfway through baking, turn and baste chicken with marinade.
  10. Remove from oven and transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
