INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 pcs small to medium size bananas (or 3 to 4 large size)
  • 112 grams or half bar softened butter or margarine
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 3/4 cup (156 g) white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp (3 g) salt
  • 1 tsp (4 g) baking soda
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Peel the overripe bananas. Mash the bananas with a fork or masher. Set aside. 
  2. Prepare the dry ingredients: Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly distributed. Set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, put in the butter and sugar. Mix until it turns into a paste like texture. Add in the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract then mix well again. Now add the dry ingredient mixture and mix until it’s fully incorporated.Optional: add in some chocolate chips or crushed walnuts for added flavor
  4. Preheat oven at 180 CPrepare a baking pan of choice. Brush the pan with oil then sprinkle with flour to avoid the banana bread from sticking. Pour in the batter and spread evenly. Put the pan inside the oven and bake for 1 hour.
  5. Carefully remove banana bread from the pan and let the bread cool down for about 10-15mins. Slice and serve. Done!
