Easy Pinoy Cheesy Donut Recipe

Try making your own Filipino- style doughnut or Pinoy Cheesy Donut. This recipe doesn’t involve using yeast so it’s really easy especially for those without bread-making background.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk or water
  • 1 tbsp oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a bowl, add in the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, then mix.
  2. Add evaporated milk and oil then mix well. Use clean hand to form a dough. Knead dough and sprinkle some flour if it’s too sticky.
  3. Cover the bowl and rest the dough for 30 minutes to form gluten.
  4. Dust dough mat with flour. Knead dough until elastic and smooth. Roll it into a log and cut into mini dough.
  5. Flatten dough and fill with cheese cube then shape into a ball. Rest dough filled with cheese for 10 minutes before frying.
  6. Fry in a preheated oil until golden brown over low heat. Then roll in sugar.
