Easy Pork Bistek Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 to 5 pcs pork chops
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • Calamansi juice (from 2 pcs calamansi)
  • 1 & 1/2 cups water
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Combine pork chops, calamansi juice, and soy sauce in a large bowl or pot.
  2. Marinade for at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat a pan then pour in cooking oil.
  4. Fry the marinated pork chops for 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  5. Remove excess oil.
  6. Pour in the remaining marinade and water.
  7. Simmer until the pork is tender.
  8. Add more water as needed.
  9. Add sugar, salt, pepper, and onions.
  10. Stir and cook for 3 more minutes.
  11. Turn off heat and transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
