Adobo Steak Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 & ½ lbs beef tenderloin
  • 4 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Pour and heat 2 tbsp of the olive oil in a cooking pot.
  2. Put- in the beef and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add- in the soy sauce and water then allow to boil.
  4. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes (you may add more water if the mixture dries up).
  5. Add- in the honey and red wine vinegar and allow to re-boil.
  6. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn off the heat and set aside.
  8. Heat a wok and pour- in the remaining 2 tbsp olive oil.
  9. Put-in the bell pepper and onion then cook for 3 minutes.
  10. Add- in the cooked beef tenderloin, salt, and pepper then stir. Cook for another 1 minute more.
  11. Transfer to a serving plate then serve. Enjoy!
