Adobong Manila Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb pork, cut into small cubes
  • Juice from 8 pcs calamansi
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 head garlic, crushed and minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Combine the pork, calamansi juice, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Mix and marinate for at least one hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Put the pork mixture in a saucepan then add- in the water.
  4. Cover the saucepan then simmer over low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the meat becomes tender.
  5. Remove from the heat, then drain (you can use pork stock for other dishes).
  6. Pour and heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add- in the garlic and the pork meat then cover.
  8. Stir the pork to cook all sides evenly.
  9. Cook the pork until brown.
  10. Remove from heat. Drain excess oil and transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
