Baked Chicken Nuggets Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 (6 to 8 oz) chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

HOW TO COOK:

  1. First, cut the chicken breasts into 2 x 2 inch pieces.
  2. Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and then pour- in the buttermilk. Mix well.
  3. Cover and place in the fridge to marinate for at least 3 hours (longer marinating time means better texture).
  4. Pre- heat the oven to 400 F or 205 C.
  5. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on the chicken.
  6. Place the breadcrumbs on a flat container.
  7. Roll the chicken over the breadcrumbs (make sure that the chicken is properly coated).
  8. Place a oven- ready wire rack over a baking tray. Arrange the chicken pieces over the wire rack.
  9. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes.
  10. Adjust the oven settings to broil.
  11. Let it stay for 3 to 5 minutes or until the color is light to golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving plate.
  13. Serve with your favorite dip and enjoy!
