Binusog Na Pusit Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 large squids, cleaned & insides removed
  • ½ lb roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 & ½ oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 & ½ oz parmesan cheese
  • 1 & ½ cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ cup green onion (for toppings)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a frying pan, heat 2 tbsp cooking oil.
  2. Add 1 cup onion then cook until translucent.
  3. Add ½ garlic then cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the bread crumbs, egg, cheese, salt and pepper then remove from heat.
  5. Fill the squid with cheese stuffing but do not over stuff, secure end with toothpick.
  6. In a clean frying pan, heat 2 tbsp cooking oil.
  7. Add stuffed squid and cook for 1 minute. Remove.
  8. Add ½ cup onion, cook.
  9. Add 1/2 garlic cook for 1 minute.
  10. Stir in tomato.
  11. Simmer for 5 minutes until thick.
  12. Return squid to the pan and cook.
  13. Cover for 10 minutes.
  14. Remove from heat and serve. Enjoy!
