Sweet Ham With Pineapple Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 kg sweet ham, thawed
  • 1 cup canned pineapples, drained, chopped, including 1/2 cup of the liquid
  • 1 cup apricot jam
  • 6 cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 F or 150 C.
  2. Combine the pineapples, apricot jam, cloves, and salt in a saucepan.
  3. Cook over low heat and simmer for about 8 to 10 minutes or until syrupy. Reserve ¼ cup of the sauce.
  4. Place the ham on a wire rack set on top of a baking tray.
  5. Brush the ham with reserved sauce.
  6. Roast the ham in the oven for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and transfer to a serving plate. Serve with the pineapple sauce on the side. Enjoy!
