INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ (64 grams) cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • ½ cup (50 grams) cocoa powder, sifted
  • ½ cup (75 grams) chopped roasted peanuts (learn how to roast peanuts here)
  • ½ cup (120 grams) melted butter
  • ¾ cup (156 grams) white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ (1.25 grams) tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp (1.2 grams) baking powder
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, put in the sugar, cocoa powder, and melted butter. Mix well until ingredients are fully incorporated. Add in the vanilla extract then mix again. Then add the eggs and also mix well (you can add the eggs 1 at a time to make sure it’s evenly mixed or distributed). Now add in the flour mixture from earlier and mix till it’s evenly distributed. Finally, add half of the chopped/crushed peanuts onto the batter then mix.
  3. Prepare your baking pan of choice. You can use a baking sheet or just spread some butter/oil on the pan and sprinkle it with a bit of flour to avoid the brownies from sticking onto the pan. Evenly distribute the batter onto the pan then add the remaining peanuts on top of the batter. Put the pan in a preheated oven at 175 C and bake for 25-30min. You can do the toothpick test after to check if the batter is cooked.
  4. Remove brownies from the pan and let it cool for 10-15min. Slice to desired shape and size then serve. Enjoy!
