Ginisang Labong Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups labong (bamboo shoots), cut into strips (you may use canned)
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1 cup prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp patis
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium- sized onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk green onions, cut diagonally
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Pour and heat the cooking oil on a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. When the oil is hot enough, saute the garlic and onion until limp and aromatic.
  3. Add- in the ground pork and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add- in the prawns and cook until all sides turn pink.
  5. Add- in the labong and patis.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for a few minutes until the labong are tender.
  8. Add- in the green onions.
  9. Remove from heat and transfer into a serving dish. Enjoy!
