Taldis Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Pili nuts, pounded
  • 2 cups kamote, mashed
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 2 cups refined sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

HOW TO COOK:

  1. In a sauce pan or casserole, mix the mashed kamote with the other ingredients.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly to  prevent scorching, until the consistency is thick.
  3. Remove from the fire and place the mixture on a greased board.
  4. Flatten with a rolling pin to about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Cut into desired sizes and shapes.
  6. Allow to cool. Consume or store in a glass jar. Enjoy!
